Main RULES of the “Lingua Sphere” Language School

  1. To enroll in language classes at the “Lingua Sphere” Language School, you can fill out the contact form  and an administrator will contact you shortly to answer any additional questions if necessary.
  2. Classes are conducted according to your level of proficiency in the foreign language and the chosen format: individual lessons, group sessions, or conversation clubs.
  3. Technical requirements for online lessons: the learner’s equipment – computer, a functioning webcam, and a headset.
    • In case of connection problems or technical issues, it is necessary to inform the teacher in advance via a private message.
    • Activated webcam and microphone are necessary for conducting effective lessons, especially for children’s groups and individual sessions.
  4. Punctuality, tardiness, and cancellation of lessons: it is necessary to connect to the online platform in advance to avoid delays. – In case of tardiness, it is required to inform the teacher at least 10 minutes before the lesson begins.
    • For group sessions: in case of absence, it is necessary to inform the teacher via private message no later than 10 minutes before the session starts, then the teacher makes a video recording of the lesson.
    • For individual lessons: if the student did not inform about the cancellation or rescheduling of the lesson in advance and did not connect to the lesson within 15 minutes, the teacher leaves the online class, and the lesson is counted as conducted.
    • Cancellation of the lesson by the student is allowed, and the lesson is not counted as conducted if the student cancels the lesson no later than three astronomical hours before the start of the session. This rule does not apply to morning lessons, which start earlier than 11:00 according to the schedule.
  5. Confidentiality and respect: confidentiality of the discussed information is maintained at the school, and norms of mutual respect among participants in the learning process – teachers and fellow students – are observed.
  6. Payment for lessons is made once a month. An invoice is issued for the current month on the 10-15th. Payment is to be made within seven days after receiving the invoice.
    • If the lesson was paid for but did not take place due to the teacher’s cancellation or for a valid reason on the student’s part, payment for this lesson is transferred to the next month.
    • For group sessions: if a lesson is missed due to illness, payment for the missed lesson is transferred to the next month,provided a sick leave note is obtained from the doctor.
  7. Active participation of students, additional questions, and expression of their thoughts are welcome in classes, as this helps to make the learning process even more effective.
  8. During the course, students are expected to allocate some time for independent work with the recommended study materials and complete homework assignments. This helps them progress faster in mastering the language  and actively participate in discussions.
